I was the Bellinger and had more sisters so I can get more stories lol.AN INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES AND #1 USA TODAY BESTSELLER I’m really sad to see this series end as I was really loving it and could go for more. The ending was very VERY cute as readers get an epilogue which means you see them in the future.
I enjoyed the romance in this book but I do have to say that it lacked in steaminess compared to the first book so I was a tad disappointed with that but I won’t let it affect the stars. The romance is kind of a bad boy/good girl trope but also best friends to lovers. I enjoyed those characters too as they brought the story more alive. There were also many side characters in this book including those who made appearances in the first book. He tries to prove himself that he is good and I enjoyed how Hannah helped him with that journey. Fox had to go through a journey where he started to figure out that he isn’t a bad person at all and isn’t like his father. Both characters developed a lot in this novel, more Fox than Hannah. Hannah is best friend’s with Fox and crashes in his apartment when she has to work in Waterport while Fox has a crush on her but doesn’t want to say anything as he thinks he’s not good for her. I loved both characters just as much from the first book. This book is written in both Fox and Hannah’s pov. I enjoyed all the cute scenes in the book and how the main characters solved their problems (some in a steamy way). The pacing was perfect and the setting is in Waterport which let me say is an amazing realistic setting for the book. It didn’t change at all and usually I hate it when the author’s style changes in the series. I enjoyed Bailey’s writing in this book which was exactly the same style of the first book. This book kind of starts off a couple of months later after It Happened One Summer but with the side characters.
Usually I say that contemporary books could be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first book first just to get all the background knowledge. Review: This was such an amazing book! This is the second book of the Bellinger Sister’s book.
